The competition across all divisions – women’s, men’s, youth and elite – is absolutely fierce, and the courses have become super technical, delivering thrilling viewing on TV. Questionable costumes aside, a big part of XC’s resurgence is due to World Cup level XCO racing becoming way more interesting to watch. It’s about as cool as anyone can look while wearing a helmet and figure-hugging activewear. But now it’s starting to become cool again. Modern XC bikes have gotten bloody good, but there’s still room to make them more capable. Instead of replacing your bike then, what about making a few choice upgrades instead? It could be a heckuva long wait for a new bike. Also, the market isn’t exactly flush with stock at the moment. But that’s potentially a lot of cash to outlay, and you still really like your current bike, it’s mint. So the question is do you bite the bullet and buy a whole new bike? Sure, that’s an option. While we’re at it, a tad more comfort for rougher trails would be bloody lovely too.
It’d be real nice if it was just a little more planted, and had a little more grip. And it’s probably not quite as versatile as you’d like for taking to new trails further from home. It’s a bit too nervous and sketchy on the steep stuff. Efficient, light, quick up the climbs, but not quite cutting the mustard on those descents. The bike is great, spot-on for what it’s designed for. You’ve already got a bike that you absolutely love, but lately you’ve found yourself riding increasingly more technical trails, and you’ve been doing your level best to keep up with some of your faster mates too. The “ideal mod setup” can be interpreted a few different ways. No disagreement here, the only other real option is a Speed & Potency set with super high Health stats, but this is based on your available mod inventory. In-game Mod Recommendations: Speed & Health.

Keep an eye on that Potency number though, because when used under a Mother Talzin lead all Nightsisters gain +50% Potency, thus you may not need Potency from the plus mod. Add in the massive Health gain in Old Daka’s Relic upgrade, and she becomes even more effective on any Nightsister team. Thus, high Health numbers for Old Daka from her mods means the heal is greater and more valuable to your squad. The healing special gives allies 50% of Old Daka’s Max Health, not their own Health, and has a 35% chance to revive a defeated enemy (70% chance on Nightsister allies). While her basic attack is the one that needs Potency, it is her healing ability, Chant of Resurrection, that makes her even more valuable. If you want to inflict Stun on your opponent then high Potency is a must as her chance to Stun an opponent with her basic, Insightful Blow, sits at 75%. Since her basic can Stun and she is a healer/reviver, making her as fast as possible is important to ensure you can use her kit more often.Īdditional Areas to Focus: Health and Potency. Main Focus: Every character in SWGoH needs Speed (yes, I do say this every time because it is true), and Old Daka is one who can really impact a fight with top-tier Speed.
